We're noticing how our English is slipping. We spell incorrectly, skip words and write words two times in one sentence! I love that our district sings. We always try out singing in parts.

It's time for lights out but I didn't write kino (yesterday). For TRC we taught the other Senpai from the other zone since the MTC didn't want to have people working during Thanksgiving. It went well. We didn't get passed the pre-mortal life though because our investigator (one of our roommates) asked a lot of tricky questions like "What's spirit" and "Did Heavenly Father have a body like us?" Earlier that day we'd taught Budge and Murphy Choro the 2nd lesson and we struggled. When we got to the TRC though, somehow we managed to speak "flowingly" if that's even a word. I think we taught well in unity too. That's been our goal.

It was too late to write last night. Yesterday was Thanksgiving. We had 3 MTC-Wide meetings throughout the day. I played for the latter two. The first of those two was a humanitarian meeting. We watched a movie about the church's humanitarian efforts. Our presenter worked with the church in the humanitarian department. After this meeting we did a service project. We packed boxes full of first aid kits. We assembled these kits at tables filled with 30 people. Each person put something in the first aid kit. The first 6 spots in each "team" were for sisters. Each sister put one gauze pad in. I think they had the sisters do that because our fingers are smaller than the elders and we're nimble :) We made 10,000 first aid kits. Isn't that cool? Each table was in charge of 200. First, half of the MTC went to the cafeteria for the project and then they switched and the other half had a turn. When it wasn't your turn, you watched a Christmas musical presentation by BYU. I'm pretty sure it was Mack Wilberg who was conducting, so it was a long time ago. He used to work there, right? Like when you were there? I swear I saw Sis. Ashby singing! It was that one were there's the floating windows as part of the set.
The day before Thanksgiving Sis. Boone asked if I would accompany the humanitarian speaker and his family to sing. They sang "If the Savior Stood Besides Me." So, I did :) It was fun to see a family with children under the age of 17. They had 4 kids. The youngest was a darling boy who was younger than kindergarten-age. Super cute. He kept running around.
At the second of the two latter meetings, after the service project, Pres. and Sis. Boone spoke. Turns out they added about 4 hymns within the talk. They let me know about those right before it started. I felt like I played so much during Thanksgiving and got tired of it actually. Plus my right wrist started to hurt like it did during "Les Mis" when I got so tense from playing the fast stuff. Did you know before our Sunday Fireside and Tuesday Devotionals we sing prelude hymns? 10-15 before it starts, we sing 3 hymns. I played for these prelude hymns for each of the two meetings I accompanied.
Later, we had Thanksgiving. We had the actual dinner in the cafeteria for lunch, but I liked this other part better... Everyone in the MTC got a sack dinner after lunch. As a district (and some of the Kohai as well) we went to the middle of the floor our classroom is on. It's a foyer in the middle and contains the only couch on our floor. We sat in a circle and ate our sacks. Yummy sandwiches. Actually, they were quite plain but they were good. Some of the elders purchased chips and cheese dip. We put these on a table in the middle. I put our family rolls there. Gerber Choro submitted some questionable root beer brownies. Yes. It's true. They were from someone from home. Everyone tried one. He also had some carrot cake with too much frosting. I wish it was just our district that had the meal, but it was OK to have the Kohai. Only thing is the kohai haven't had a chance to bond and get to know each other yet, so they just kinda watched up Senpai a lot. I really feel like my district is my family. It feels funny when Sis. Shaha and I are away from them for whatever reason. I can't express how hard it is not to even pat them on the back!
Today we found out there is no gym until MONDAY! Can you imagine Thanksgiving weekend just sitting around, eating, and not exercising. I wish we'd known about the lack of gym a week ago so we could have planned out our diet and not eaten so much.
We had a good companionship inventory today. When you plan and communicate in a loving way, the Lord blesses you. Sis. Shaha and I talked a lot about our elders. We love them so much and we want them to focus and realize the sacred obligation that they have.
I'm gonna send this now. Expect a letter!
Love,
Sis. McMahan
