Transfer to Maebashi

We didn't receive and email from Emily today. However, we did get a brief "snail mail" letter from her, indicating that she was to transfer to Maebashi on April 29 (yesterday) . We also received some relatively current photos: Above is a picture of Sisters Eddington and Swasey, the two companions Emily has just left behind as she transfers to Maebashi. Below is a picture of the Shibuya District and the rest of the missionaries with whom Emily has been serving:

We got transfer calls today! I'm going to Maebashi... out in the country! My new companion is Yamamoto Shimai. In Maebashi there are only sister missionaries and the ward has only about 25 people. I am so excited! Maebashi is pretty far away...in the very corner of the mission, up against the mountains.

note: here's a link to the city's website:

The Elder Bednar conference was great. The sisters sat in the front two rows. I was first row, center! Eldar Bednar, at one point, used me as a prop in his discussion. Later in the day of the conference, there was a smiliar meeting but for the members. We got to go to that, too. It was another question/answer period. There was a translator for Elder Bednar. I saw a number of people from my previous area at the conference. That was nice, because I'd left on such short notice.

Today we had a dinner appointment and they served homemade soutdough bread and steak! It was so fancy.I thought you'd all be excied about that. Speaking of which, is everyone health and making good choices? :)

Lastly, I want to say I love you. I'm learning so much on my mission about how to not only be a good missionary, but to be a good person as well. We are really blessed to have the gospel perspective. I don't know how some people live without it. I LOVE you!
